The V-8 Debate Junior wants the V-8, as senior who was once "junior" wanted. Actually, the senior junior would love to have a heavy cam thumpin' fender vibratin' chassis rockin' header toned V-8, still to this day! Sitting on the other side of the fence from 20+ years ago however, originality, gas mileage and reduced risk of having wrapped around a telephone pull weigh heavily in favor of the original six.

Brakes & Air Conditioning The drum brakes work just fine and actually add an air of fun in traditional feel. Coming out of the modern every day vehicle into the Camaro does take a moment of adjustment though. Power disc brake kits are available at a a fairly resonable cost, and this is a consideration for the future. Air conditioning could be a plus, however the lack of will certainly help limit the mileage as it will not be the veryday car of choice in the Florida heat. A/C requires cutting holes in the dash for vents. Hate to cut holes, but love to have A/C. Installation requires removing the passenger fender - something we are perfectly capable of -but something to preferrable be completed prior to painting.
